Latinitas
Latinitas is an Austin-based nonprofit that empowers girls and their communities through culturally relevant education. Their work helps girls build confidence, develop a strong sense of identity, and grow as leaders while gaining critical content knowledge in technology, media, and creative fields. Through afterschool clubs, summer camps, and youth conferences, Latinitas equips participants with the tools to continue their STEAM education, pursue diverse career pathways, and make meaningful contributions to their communities.
At Latinitas, we’re proud to empower girls and their communities through culturally relevant education—and being named an MLS All-Star Hometown Hero is an incredible honor that affirms the impact of this work. For over 20 years, we’ve created spaces where youth in Austin can hone their STEM skills and grow as confident leaders. It means so much to be recognized in our hometown for envisioning a future where Latinas lead with confidence. I’m deeply grateful to MLS, the Black Players for Change, and RBC Wealth Management for celebrating grassroots leadership and uplifting organizations like ours.
