How are the MLS Hometown Heroes selected?

The selection committee, comprised of stakeholders from Major League Soccer, RBC Wealth Management, Black Players for Change and the Columbus Crew will identify four (4) Hometown Heroes based on contributions in one or more of the following areas:

Education and Literacy

Removing Barriers to Access Youth Soccer

Wellness

Organizations must be a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization and demonstrate a minimum of one (1) year business operation.
